NetMove Corporation and Miura, as leaders in their respective fields, have combined to provide both financial and retail institutions with the ability to deploy a fully certified P2PE solution. NetMove are the first PCI DSS service provider in Japan to receive the P2PE certification utilising Miura’s P2PE V2 certified Application and Key Management (CA) Component.

P2PE certified solutions are highly sought after by retailers of all sizes because it significantly reduces the scope of PCI compliance requirements, saving time and money. This gives retailers peace of mind that all payments are secured to the highest standards, significantly reducing the risk of fraud.

P2PE is a necessary security standard for protecting cardholder data through encryption, and is included in a specific Japanese Government initiative in its publication Action Plan 2017’.

Miura worked with NetMove to achieve solution and component standards certification in two essential business areas for the company:

  • SaAT PocketRegi: NetMove’s fully managed EMV payment solution which is now PCI P2PE compliant

  • SaAT Managed Terminal Service: NetMove’s secure remote terminal management service which includes Remote Key Injection (RKI)

NetMove will now use Miura hardware to combine all of the elements required for a certified P2PE payment solution – POS hardware, POS applications, Key Management, host payment processing and logistics.

“As Miura are already P2PE V2 certified for Application and Key Management (CA) Component, using the Miura terminal enabled us to smoothly become certified for our solution. By working with Miura, we are now very excited to be able to provide a P2PE certified solution and component for our clients,” said Riki Takada, Senior Product Manager at NetMove.

Mark Chapman, Asia Sales Director for Miura, commented: “We are proud to be working with NetMove. The combined services of NetMove Corporation and Miura Systems demonstrate our commitment to meeting the highest-security standards required whilst ensuring adoption is seamless for financial and retail organisations in Japan.”
