Miura Systems Announces New CEO and Other Key Executive Appointments
Miura makes significant leadership appointments, strengthening its global organization to accelerate international growth.
London, 12th October 2020 - Global payment technology leader Miura Systems announces the appointment of Anthony Sethill as its new CEO with Ken Paull assuming the role of President of Sales & Marketing and Oliver Archer joining as CFO.
Taking on overall executive management of Miura, Anthony Sethill is well known in the global consumer electronics, broadcast & music streaming industries, and was previously CEO of Frontier Smart Technologies, the leading manufacturer of semiconductor & software solutions. Under his leadership, Frontier pioneered the DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) digital radio and Smart Streaming Audio markets and became a Global SI partner for the Google Voice recognition platform ‘Google Assistant’. Prior to founding Frontier, Anthony was Managing Director of Amstrad and Sales & Marketing Director of Samsung UK. Anthony brings with him a wealth of experience in managing the strategic development, manufacturing and marketing of complex ground-breaking electronic devices, including audio/video, medical, mobile phone & IoT products.
Anthony replaces Ricky Garrido who founded Miura in 2008 and built the company into a renowned and industry-leading provider of mobile payment solutions. Ricky will continue to play an active role in Miura’s development as a company Board Member and investor.
In parallel, Ken Paull is appointed as President, assuming responsibility for the company’s sales, marketing and business development activities. Having served as non-executive Board Member since February of this year, Ken brings significant leadership experience in the payments industry in North America as well as other international markets. Ken has held a number of senior management roles in the electronic payments industry over the last thirty years including establishing Verifone's Retail Division and PAX's business in North America. Ken was also CEO of ROAM (now Ingenico Mobile), a mobile payments company, and most recently Chief Revenue Officer for Cayan, where he oversaw the successful deployment of the Genius platform. Ken has already started to build out a high-performance sales & marketing organization, with significant new management hires in EMEA and North America.
Anthony and Ken join Oliver Archer, Miura’s Chief Financial Officer, appointed in July, who has brought his considerable operational and financial management experience into the company. Oliver is a seasoned and accomplished CFO who has spent the last 18 years in the technology sector. He brings with him a wealth of international experience including 10 years working with top software vendors including Omnico Group and Oracle MICROS.
